Terms of Service. Rules for using BusyVault.
These Terms govern access to BusyVault (VAULT) cloud SaaS at busyvault.com and related apps. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
Agreement
These Terms form a binding agreement between you (the user or organization you represent) and the operator of BusyVault.
If you use BusyVault on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization. Conflicts with a signed enterprise order form or DPA are resolved in favor of the signed agreement.
The service
BusyVault provides team communication software: workspaces, channels, chat, files, tickets, webhooks, and related features.
We may update features, interfaces, and infrastructure. We aim to maintain compatibility and give reasonable notice of material changes that affect paid customers. Documentation is at docs.html.
The service is provided on an "as available" basis. Scheduled maintenance and force majeure may cause temporary unavailability.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and workspace administration.
- Registration: provide accurate information and keep your email verified.
- Security: keep passwords confidential; notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
- Workspace admins: control member access, roles, billing, and compliance within your organization.
- Age: you must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the service.
Acceptable use
Use BusyVault lawfully and respectfully. Do not harm the platform or other users.
You agree not to:
- Upload malware, spam, or illegal content; harass, threaten, or discriminate against others.
- Attempt unauthorized access, scrape at scale, reverse engineer, or overload our systems.
- Use the service to violate export controls, sanctions, or third-party intellectual property rights.
- Resell or sublicense the cloud service without written permission (Enterprise/on-premise licenses are separate).
- Circumvent plan limits, billing, or security controls.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or pose a security risk.
Free trial
New accounts may start on the Free plan with a 3-day full-feature trial.
- Duration: 3 calendar days from account creation with full product access and 10 GB storage.
- No card required: you can explore BusyVault without entering payment details during the trial.
- Expiry: if you do not upgrade to a paid plan (Basic or Pro) before the trial ends, your Free account and associated data are automatically deleted.
- One trial per organization: abuse of repeated free trials may result in account restrictions.
Billing & plans
Paid subscriptions, storage overage, and payment processing.
Paid plans
Payments
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Prices are shown in USD unless otherwise stated; local taxes (e.g. VAT) may apply for EU customers. Manage billing in Settings → Billing inside the app.
Paid accounts with failed or overdue payment may be suspended (access blocked) until billing is resolved; data is not deleted solely for non-payment.
Pay-as-you-go storage
On Basic and Pro, storage beyond your included quota is billed monthly at approximately $0.03/GiB. You confirm overage charges in the upload flow before incurring fees.
Refunds & cancellation
You may cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise required by law. Refunds are handled case-by-case for billing errors. Statutory consumer rights in the EU (including withdrawal where applicable) remain unaffected.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. We need a license to operate the service.
You grant BusyVault a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display your content solely to provide and improve the service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms. You represent that you have rights to the content you upload.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data within that content.
Liability
Limits appropriate for B2B SaaS. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
- No warranty: except as explicitly stated in an enterprise SLA, the service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- Indirect damages: to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or lost profits/data.
- Cap: our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period (or USD $100 if you used only the Free trial).
- Force majeure: we are not liable for failures caused by events outside reasonable control (outages, natural disasters, war, etc.).
Termination
Either party may end the relationship as described below.
- By you: cancel your subscription or delete your account in app settings, or contact support.
- By us: suspend or terminate for breach, non-payment, legal requirement, or prolonged inactivity on Free accounts after trial expiry.
- Effect: upon termination, your right to access the service ends. We delete or anonymize data per our Privacy Policy and retention schedules.
Governing law
Poland and EU context for cloud customers.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.
Disputes should first be addressed via [email protected]. Courts in Poland have jurisdiction for business users unless mandatory law provides otherwise. EU consumers may also use the ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
